We are seeking a pharmacist to join our team! Ballard Rehab Hospital, located in San Bernardino, CA is a 60 bed rehab facility providing rehabilitative services to people recovering from disabilities caused by injuries or illnesses. We help our patients regain their physical or cognitive abilities so they can return home at their highest level of independence. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities include filling and dispensing medication orders, maintaining standards set forth by the department, acting as an information resource to patients, physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy and drug-related information and literature, providing coordination effort in the delivery of quality and cost-effective drug therapies to patients, participating in the hospital Antibiotic Stewardship Program with a focus on patient safety and public health, demonstrating competency to provide pharmaceutical care to patients of all relevant age groups, and providing leadership in the absence of the Director as assigned.

Required skills include a Bachelor of Science Degree from a College/School of Pharmacy and a current, valid, and active license to practice as a Pharmacist in the state of employment.

Additional qualifications/skills preferred include a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, experience with pharmacokinetics and anticoagulation, TPN experience, current, valid and active BLS and ACLS certifications from a Vibra-approved vendor, previous acute care experience, automated pharmacy dispensing, IV Laminar flow hood, electronic medical records experience, ability to project a professional image, knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements, strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills, ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant, working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions, and freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It's not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $55.12 to $67.19
