Medical Receptionist – Bilingual (Spanish)

Location: 475 Front Street, Hempstead, NY 11550
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Pay: $22.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience

Established multi-specialty medical practice providing Primary Care, Physical Therapy, and Chiropractic services is seeking an experienced bilingual Medical Front Desk Receptionist.

The ideal candidate is professional, dependable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Experience with insurance verification, authorizations, workers' compensation, no-fault cases, scheduling, and high-volume phone calls is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• New patient intake and registration.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Maintain physician and physical therapy schedules.
• Answer and manage multi-line phone systems.
• Insurance verification and authorizations.
• Verify Workers' Compensation, No-Fault, and major medical insurance eligibility.
• Enter patient demographics, reports, and documentation into EMR software.
• Collect copays and update patient information.
• Assist providers with patient flow and administrative support as needed.
• Maintain a warm, professional, and positive experience for patients.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of medical office experience.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Strong computer and customer service skills.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• Ability to manage patient volume and multitask efficiently.
• Experience as a medical receptionist, patient coordinator, front desk receptionist, or medical assistant preferred.

Schedule:

• Monday through Thursday – Full Days
• Friday – Possible Half Day (9:00 AM–1:00 PM)
