Our values are Excellence, Innovation, Commitment, Caring and Integrity. Residential Youth Care Specialist – Role Overview What will you do? Provide care, supervision, structure, and advocacy to youth in your care, building a therapeutic relationship. Support day‑to‑day care of youth ages 10‑17, both male and female, who are highly acute and potentially aggressive. Support the treatment process and complete tasks assigned by your Supervisor. Work on an as‑needed basis, covering a minimum of four 12‑hour shifts per month. Shift & Hours Shift: 7 am — 7 pm Schedule: Week 1 – Monday, Thursday, Friday; Week 2 – Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday. Training: Mandatory attendance at a 4‑day, 9 am‑5 pm Therapeutic Crisis Intervention training program prior to engaging with clients. All residential staff must pass TCI training and demonstrate proper therapeutic techniques. Compensation Starting pay range: $17.50–$19.50 per hour, based on experience. Minimum Qualifications BA/BS Degree in Human Services strongly preferred. High school diploma/GED and two years’ relevant experience working with youth acceptable in lieu of degree. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and strong written and oral communication skills. Must pass a drug screening test and an extensive background check. Must be able to work a minimum of four shifts per month. Physical Requirements Employees are required to walk, sit, use hands to handle objects, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. They must be able to stand, walk, run, stoop, bend, climb stairs and lift individuals. The employee must be agile enough to rapidly extricate themselves and youths from buildings in case of emergency and capable of running as required in the apprehension of a fleeing youth.
