Why This Staff Accountant Opportunity Stands Out Diverse responsibilities beyond traditional accounting Direct interaction with clients and business owners Exposure to accounting, tax support, payroll, budgeting, and financial planning Opportunity to serve as a trusted advisor and business partner Hands‑on role with strong variety and client engagement Collaborative environment focused on professional growth and exceptional service Key Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant Accounting & Financial Management Manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger activity, and cash management Reconcile bank, investment, and financial accounts Process dividends, distributions, and client bill payments Prepare budgets, expenditure reports, and financial schedules Record asset, liability, investment, and loan transactions Calculate depreciation and maintain fixed asset records Payroll & Tax Support Process payroll and payroll tax filings Assist with sales tax reporting Support the preparation of 1040 and business tax returns Coordinate tax payments and related documentation Client Services & Advisory Participate in client meetings and support client requests Communicate financial information, engagement updates, and business matters Maintain relationships with bankers, attorneys, investment advisors, and other third parties Support insurance administration and other personal financial matters for clients Research and coordinate purchases, vendors, and service providers on behalf of clients Qualifications for the Staff Accountant Required 3+ years of accounting experience Strong understanding of accounting principles QuickBooks proficiency Strong Excel, Word, and Outlook skills Excellent communication and client-service abilities Strong organizational and time-management skills Preferred Public accounting experience QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification Experience with 1040 and business tax return preparation CPA or CPA-track candidate
