Good work life balance Nice culture Great benefits Overview Of The Role Responsible for accurate preparation of complex journal entries such as revenue, cash, assets, AR, AP, accruals, interest, depreciation, amortization, pledge receivables Assist with preparation of reconciliations after month end close Maintain work papers that support the general ledger account balances Help with monthly and semi-monthly payroll Assist with accounting close and the analysis of budget variance Review and post accounts payables, student, contributions, and gift receipts for approval Assist with annual audit support Track asset and inventory Assist with ad hoc data for audit This role reports directly to controller Responsible to ensure accounting is in accordance with GAAP Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Would consider a new grad with an internship 1-5 years of relevant accounting experience Previous AP experience CPA or working towards CPA but not required Great communication, organized, ability to work independently Proficient in excel Yearly Compensation $60,000 - $80,000 plus benefits
