Growing together.Southwest Medical, part of Optum, has an immediate opening for a friendly, patient focused and detailed oriented Associate Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. The Associate Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical and service goals.Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts between the hours of 6:30am- 5:30pm EST. This is a 40-hour work week to be determined by the supervisor upon hire.Location: 2845 Siena Heights, 2nd Floor, Henderson, NV 89052. This role will require training and coverage at other sites as needed. Must be willing and able to travel to other sites for training and coverage depending on business need.Primary Responsibilities:Greets patients as they arrive and manages appropriate standard wait timesCompletes check-in and check-out tasks to include patient demographic verification, insurance verification, complete pre-authorizations and/or precertification of procedures and copy required documentsCollects co-payments, co-insurance and deductibles and issues receiptsManages cashier box and daily deposits according to company policiesAnswers phones and schedules appointmentsAnswers telephone calls, re-directs calls as appropriate, assists callers with questions or concerns and takes messages as neededManages medical records (maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule)Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etc.Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with patients, employees and the publicPerforms all other related duties as assignedWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? The hourly pay for this role will range from $16 - $29 per hour based on full-time employment.
