The Payroll Specialist will primarily be assisting with processing the bi-weekly payroll for all Vitality locations along with subsequent internal reporting. This person will also provide new user training and support and responds to team member inquiries relating to payroll functions.

As a Vitality Living Payroll Specialist, you will impact lives by:

• Cultivating trust and confidence in the Vitality payroll department by diligently protecting PII and other sensitive or confidential information.
• Executing comprehensive processes and procedures to ensure timely and accurate bi-weekly payroll that includes processing: changes in employee status, terminations, changes in tax jurisdictions, statutory deductions, bonuses, commissions, etc.
• Supporting internal audit and controls related to payroll by monitoring and disseminating various audit reports as appropriate and building reports as.
• Maintaining working knowledge of basic payroll transactions including preparation, balancing, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions as they flow through the payroll system of record and as new releases are implemented.
• Preparing accurate records and reports of payroll transactions and maintaining such documents in accordance with the company's records retention policies.
• Resolving payroll discrepancies by collaborating with internal stakeholders, collecting and analyzing information, maintaining detailed documentation, and communicating final outcome to relevant parties.
• Responding to and maintaining the payroll email inbox.
• Conducting training for new users on payroll processing as well as on-going training as requested and as new releases impact payroll.
• Ensuring on-going compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and best practices.
• Assisting with year-end payroll functions including distribution of 1095Cs, W2s, etc., and responding to inquiries regarding replacement forms and.
• Assisting staff with basic HRIS questions and training.
• Performing other duties as.

Details:

• Hybrid Role / 3 days in office located in Brentwood, TN
• Hourly / Non-Exempt

We'd like to talk if you have:

• Associates or above degree preferred in accounting, finance, or equivalent focus area.
• 3-5 years' payroll processing experience required; preferably a multi-site/multi-state
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills to include functions, formulas, filters, sorts, and pivot tables.
• Knowledge and ability to use HRIS systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Deadline and detail-oriented.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects while working independently, maintaining communication on progress, and delivering.
• Able to manage confidential financial and payroll data with diplomacy, tact, and respect for privacy of team member records.
• Working knowledge of UKG or Paycom strongly preferred.
• Intermediate math skills.
• CPP certification preferred but not required.
