Payroll Analyst

Our client, located in Nashville, TN is seeking a temp to hire Payroll Analyst to join their growing team.
This position will be processing for their 200 employees on a bi-weekly schedule , and will also support general accounting functions. This position is offering a hybrid schedule, with at least one day a week in office required.


Duties:

• Process bi-weekly and supplemental payroll accurately and on schedule
• Ensure full compliance with federal and state payroll tax regulations
• Manage garnishments, deductions, and payroll reconciliations
• Prepare payroll journal entries and reconcile related liability accounts
• Support accounts receivable functions, including billing and invoicing
• Assist with month-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Oversee insurance renewals, business licenses, and administrative accounting activities
• Maintain and document payroll and accounting procedures
• Cross-train team members on payroll processes and drive continuous improvements
• Provide support on ad hoc accounting and finance projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required
• 2 years experience in payroll processing
• 1-2 years of general accounting experience
• Experience with payroll taxes, garnishments, payroll reconciliations, and payroll journal entries
• Accounts receivable and billing support experience
• Experience preparing journal entries and assisting with month-end close
