Exciting opportunity for a Special Education Teacher to make a significant impact at an elementary school where your expertise is truly needed. This is a full-time, on-site contract position, supporting a school that has not had a SPED teacher for several years. Travel candidates are encouraged, and the principal offers flexible interview times after 4pm CDT and on weekends, making the process convenient for out-of-area applicants.

You'll work in a self-contained K–5th grade classroom alongside another SPED teacher, splitting a total caseload of 20 students to ensure each child receives the individual support they deserve. Some students may require toileting assistance, and you’ll be instrumental in helping the school successfully manage and support their diverse learning needs.

Qualifications:

• Valid Educator Certification for Special Education (must be presented at time of offer)
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred
• Comfortable assisting with toileting and personal care needs
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with colleagues
• Passion for supporting K–5 students with a range of needs

Your Role Includes:

• Delivering differentiated instruction for a small group of elementary students
• Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to create supportive learning plans
• Managing IEPs, tracking progress, and maintaining accurate records
• Providing personal care as needed
• Helping break down caseloads to optimize student success

Additional Details:

• Full contract position, ASAP start through late May 2027
• 35 hours per week, 7:45am – 3:15pm
• On-site only
