Make a positive impact in a Pre-K classroom as a Special Education Teacher, supporting young learners with autism in a nurturing, inclusive environment. This is a contract position with a single school assignment, working on-site with a small caseload for the duration of the academic year.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Educator Certification required
• Experience teaching or supporting students in special education, preferably in Pre-K settings
• Familiarity with early childhood development and autism spectrum disorders
• Ability to assist with toileting and other activities of daily living
• Strong organizational and communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with staff and families
• Relevant licensure documentation must be presented prior to start

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group instruction for a caseload of six Pre-K students, with emphasis on supporting children with autism
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s strengths, needs, and goals
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and structured classroom setting
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and other educators
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to discuss classroom progress and strategies
• Support each child’s daily routines, including toileting as needed
• Maintain documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
