Data Analyst: Grants Administration/Financial Data Do you have strong computing and financial/data analysis skills? Are you an early stage professional or a recent graduate of a coding program and eager to put your skills to use? If so, we have a data analyst role on our Grants Administration & Finance team. Knight Foundation’s Grants Administration team oversees and continuously improves the foundation’s grant making process and systems. Finance plans, manages, and forecasts the foundation’s financial resources, supporting budgeting and long-term financial planning in partnership with program and operational teams. We are seeking an individual with an interest in technical support, finance, data analysis and management. As the Data Analyst supporting the Grants Administration and Finance team, you will report to our Manager of Grants Administration. Key responsibilities: Translates financial data into clear, decision-relevant insights that support programmatic and operational strategy, including identifying trends, interpreting results, and making actionable recommendations Ensures the quality, integrity, and accuracy of grant data across grant, accounting, and finance platforms Supports responsible fiduciary stewardship of grants, grant-related financial structures, and endowments In partnership with program staff, supports the grant payment decisions based on timely and relevant financial data Contributes to process improvements by identifying issues and suggesting solutions Things we look for in a successful candidate: Strong technical and analytical skills with an affinity for financial/business concepts and relationships Detail-oriented and solutions-driven Ability to ensure that projects are delivered on time and produce desired results Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity Skillful in creating narratives with data Curiosity and a strong desire to learn A strong orientation towards customer service Experience with Fluxx, or another grants management database, is a plus. Knight Foundation offers competitive pay and a generous benefits package. The hiring salary range for this role starts at $73,000. Actual compensation is based on a number of factors including qualifications, skills and relevant experience. This is an in-office position located in Miami, Florida.
