Role Overview This role presents an exciting journey into the world of consultative sales, focusing on helping businesses harness the power of Lenovo’s and our partners' technology. It's about enabling companies to evolve through automated, orchestrated, and multi-cloud platforms. While this is a junior-level role, you'll be at the forefront of promoting Lenovo's Data Center solutions, including AI, Converged, Hyper-converged, and Software-Defined Data Center solutions. Team Collaboration The Solutions Sales engineering team collaborates closely with Lenovo’s enterprise account teams, focusing on a select list of accounts to usher in transformation with Lenovo’s comprehensive edge to core offerings. This environment fosters a collaborative spirit, offering you the unique opportunity to consult while you sell, learning and growing within the organization. As a member of the Lenovo NA Solutions Sales Team, you'll join a diverse group of sales professionals with a wide range of skills across data center technologies and solutions. Key Responsibilities Your role will involve: Leveraging your knowledge in data center technologies for consultative sales Engaging with enterprise and acquisition prospects across various industries Understanding and articulating the market dynamics and benefits of advanced data center technologies, especially in areas like Converged, Hyper-converged, and Software Defined solutions Developing and executing a business plan to meet and exceed your sales targets Building and expanding customer relationships through a strategic sales planning approach Skills Knowledge Development In this role, you're expected to gain expertise in several key technology and sales areas, including: Compute Platforms, particularly Servers used in the data center and edge Storage solutions, Hyper Visors, and Software Defined Storage Understanding of Hybrid Cloud Solutions, Converged Platforms, Containers, Microservices, and Cloud Workload Placement Develop and expand skills in solution sizing and systems management Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate for this position will: Show potential in driving data center opportunities and articulating solution benefits Have foundational knowledge of the IT marketplace and advanced data center technologies Demonstrate budding skills in consultative selling, technology sales, and communication Be eager to learn about complex sales cycles and strategies to engage with SMB and Public Sector customers Basic Qualifications A Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent Entry-level experience or internships in sales, particularly in technology-focused roles Exposure to or interest in Converged, Hyperconverged, and Software Defined Solutions Preferred Qualifications Strong communication skills, both written and verbal An interest in developing sales strategies and working with Channel partners and technology partners A team player attitude, open to learning and adapting to new environments Ability to travel into territory 20% of the time The base salary budgeted range for this position is $115K - $125K. Individuals may also be considered for bonus and/or commission.
