Accountant I

About the Role As the Accountant I, you would be responsible for assisting the Assistant Controller with all accounting functions including but not limited to the completion of month end financial statements, review of intercompany transactions, and accuracy in balance sheet reconciliations. Maintains organization established for departmental filing, i.e. journal entries, monthly checklists, posting reports, prepare and review journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, payroll and general ledger reconciliation. The Accountant I is expected to perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the mission and core values of the company and comply with all the company policies and procedures, OSHA, CMS, HIPPA, local, state, and federal, regulations. Ability to be a team member and thought leader. Associate degree in accounting, business administration, financial management or related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounting, bookkeeping or related field. Accurate 10 key by touch operation. Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail, ability to deal with complex and detailed information and apply both planning and organizing skills. Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in decision making, strategic thinking and collaborate using strong interpersonal and communication skills. Valid driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.
