In this highly visible and dynamic position, working closely with the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting functions required to produce monthly GAAP financial statements for properties managed by Evergreen. The role may also assist with corporate and client level accounting transactions.This is an office-based position based in Dallas, TX with hybrid schedule.The Role:This position includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:Coordinate and complete annual audits and provide support.Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.Record and review monthly adjusting and accrual entries in accordance with GAAP.Prepare and review monthly and quarterly reports for all properties for internal use and distribution to partners and clients.Prepare and review the fee schedules for various funds in accordance with management agreements.Prepare and review the lease schedules in accordance with ASC-842Record and reconcile the investments in associates in accordance with GAAP.Ensure compliance with Fund/Client partnership agreements and investor side letters.Mentor, coach and motivate a team of accountants.Assist as needed with auditors for the year-end audit process.Adhere to internal controls surrounding financial reporting and compliance.Perform other ad hoc accounting duties as required.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in finance or accounting with a CPA5+ years of experienceUnderstanding of US GAAP, financial processes and internal controlsExperience in real estate and real-estate property level accounting is strongly preferredAnalytical thinking, ability to manage large volumes of transactional data3+ years of team management experienceAccuracy and timeliness in the completion of assigned workStrong work ethicStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenProficiency with Excel, experience with ERP systems like NetSuite & YardiAdaptability in a highly dynamic working environmentGood problem-solving skills - able to think outside the boxSpanish is a plus.Please do not rely on compensation estimates for our jobs that are posted on sites other than our direct website as these may be misleading.About Evergreen ResidentialFounded in 2021, Evergreen Residential is a full-service SFR platform leveraging proven operational practices and the latest technological advances to optimize investor returns and achieve positive outcomes for our residents and the communities in which we operate.
