What’s this team like at Etsy?

• We sit on Etsy's People + Workplace team and partner directly with the business on the corporate side of the house. Think marketing, operations, trust & safety, P&W. We treat recruiting as a craft, not paperwork. Every hire we make shapes both the business and someone's career, so we balance moving fast with real judgment about fit.
• We look for recruiters who can work autonomously and can connect their work with the larger business strategy.
• The TA team brings market intelligence to the table to both inform the search, role description, and bar of talent.
• We're a small, senior team, so you'll own your requisitions end to end..
• We're actively investing in passive sourcing and pipelining as an ongoing discipline, not just a reactive response to open roles.

What does the day-to-day look like?

• Manage full-cycle recruiting from intake through offer and close.
• Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to hiring managers and leaders -- not just an order-taker for reqs -- on role scope, sourcing strategy, and interview design.
• Build and maintain passive talent pipelines for recurring or hard-to-fill roles in business functions.
• Coach interviewers on writing clear, evidence-based feedback and facilitate debriefs that lead to confident decisions.
• Track quality-of-hire signals and use them to inform sourcing strategy and process changes.
• Represent Etsy's employer brand and deliver a strong candidate experience at every stage.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

• 5+ years of full-cycle corporate recruiting experience.
• Experience recruiting for marketing functions (brand, growth, comms, or similar) and for operations functions such as risk, trust & safety, or fraud.
• A high bar for performance and what great looks like -- you'd rather leave a seat open than make the wrong hire.
• A track record of building passive pipelines, not just managing inbound applicant flow.
• Comfort partnering with senior stakeholders -- and pushing back when a process or requirement won't serve the larger company strategy.
• Experience improving interview practices: structured feedback, calibrated scorecards, effective debrief facilitation.
• Familiarity with quality-of-hire metrics and using data to make the case for changes to hiring practice.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with the range to work effectively with marketing, risk, and legal/compliance stakeholders alike.
  

Compensation & Benefits

In addition to salary, you'll be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family. Base salary is determined by your location, skills, and experience.

Etsy uses two geographic pay zones to reflect the labor markets where we compete for talent: one called Geo-1, covering the New York City metropolitan area, San Francisco Bay Area, and Seattle metropolitan area, and one called Geo-2, covering all other U.S. locations. Salary ranges for this role vary by zone and are listed below.

Location

We prioritize candidates based within commutable distance of Etsy’s Brooklyn Office. Depending on proximity, we ask team members to come in once or twice per week. Remote candidates outside commutable distance may be considered on a case-by-case basis, with the expectation of occasional travel to the office. Salary Range:

• Geo-1: 152,000.00 - 206,000.00 USD Annual • Geo-2: 137,000.00 - 185,000.00 USD Annual
