Development Manager

The Development Manager is responsible for leading the fundraising activities related to corporate sponsorships and grants for the Oklahoma City Philharmonic. This position focuses on cultivating relationships with corporate partners, foundations, and individual donors, while developing strategies to encourage investment in the organization's mission. The Manager plays a crucial role in sustaining concerts, special events, and educational programs, contributing to the achievement of annual fundraising goals.Key responsibilities include managing sponsorship and grant pipelines, drafting proposals, and ensuring compliance with grant agreements. The Development Manager will also collaborate with various departments to create program narratives and budgets, as well as prepare donor communications and fundraising materials. Attending concerts and supporting special events are also part of the role, ensuring a strong presence in the community.Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, along with two to four years of experience in grant writing and fundraising. Knowledge of the performing arts industry is advantageous. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential, particularly for writing grant applications and proposals.
