Position Summary We are seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to support and lead key payroll functions for a multi-state, construction-focused workforce. This role will partner closely with the Payroll Manager to ensure accurate payroll processing, certified payroll compliance, union reporting, and payroll issue resolution. The position offers a clear path toward future leadership and payroll management opportunities. Key Responsibilities Process weekly and biweekly payroll accurately and on time. Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations and company policies. Assist with certified payroll reporting and union payroll reporting. Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries. Serve as a liaison between employees, field operations, union representatives, and accounting. Support payroll audits, reconciliations, and process improvements. Assist the Payroll Manager with special projects and departmental initiatives. Provide backup support for accounting and payroll functions as needed. Qualifications 3+ years of payroll experience required. Construction, union payroll, and/or certified payroll experience preferred. Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, reporting, and reconciliations. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and payroll systems. Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Demonstrated leadership potential and interest in growing into a management role.
