Responsibilities of a Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Control RN Provide general and clinical orientation to new staff members. Deliver live annual training sessions and monthly refreshers to ensure staff competence. Track training attendance, competencies, and state & federal requirements in Relias. Conduct hands‑on skills fairs. Perform and track competency evaluations. Lead our Mentor Program. Evaluate and address individual staff education needs. Administer the center's Infection Prevention & Control Program: identify, investigate, report infections and communicable diseases, and educate staff on prevention. Qualifications of a Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Control RN Associate degree or higher in Nursing (ASN) required. Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of North Carolina. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. Experience in Long‑Term Care/SNF nursing or Clinical Education and Staff Development strongly preferred. CDC IPCO certification required or willingness to complete within 5 days of employment.
