Deputy Title IX Coordinator

Salary Range: $63,000.00 To $73,000.00 Annually Randolph-Macon College seeks applications for a full-time Deputy Title IX Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of Title IX and ADA Coordinator, this position assists with the coordination, response, investigation, and resolution of reports and complaints asserting violations of the College's Sexual and Relationship Conduct (SRC) Policy. The Deputy Title IX Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for students, manages the intake and investigation process, prepares investigative reports, supports Title IX education and training efforts, advises College leadership on compliance matters, and serves as the Title IX Coordinator as delegated. Responsibilities Receives and responds to reports of sex discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, stalking, retaliation, and related misconduct. Conducts initial intake meetings with students and involved parties, providing a neutral, supportive, and empathetic environment. Conducts or coordinates investigations involving allegations of sex discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, stalking, retaliation, and related misconduct. Prepares comprehensive investigation reports and related documentation. Facilitates informal resolution processes, including serving as a mediator when appropriate. Provides Title IX-related training, educational programs, and prevention initiatives for students, employees, and mandatory reporters. Coordinates and implements supportive measures for parties involved in Title IX matters. Maintains ongoing communication, case management, and follow-up with parties throughout the resolution process. Serves as a liaison between the Title IX Office and campus partners, external agencies, and other stakeholders. Maintains accurate and confidential case records in accordance with College policies and applicable laws. Promotes awareness of reporting options and works to identify and address barriers to reporting. Assists with Title IX compliance efforts, including annual reporting and required documentation. Supports the daily operations of the Title IX Office. Serves as the Title IX Coordinator as delegated. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of three years of related experience required; master's degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to interpret federal and state equal opportunity and non-discrimination laws and regulations, including Title IX, sex discrimination, sexual harassment, and related laws. Experience conducting complaint resolution, investigations, and grievance processes. Training through ATIXA or a comparable organization related to Title IX, sex discrimination, harassment, and sexual misconduct preferred. Experience with Maxient or similar case management systems preferred. Higher education experience preferred. Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse constituencies. Demonstrated sound judgment, objectivity, integrity, and the ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information. Strong investigative, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills, with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage conflict, remain calm in crisis situations, and work effectively with individuals impacted by sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking, and related misconduct. Ability to identify and implement supportive measures and facilitate informal resolution processes, as appropriate. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
