Company Description The Blast Bag Company, Inc. manufactures and sells containment products designed for cleaning heat exchangers, fin fans, and managing first-time line breaks. Its solutions reduce clean-up time, minimize the need for scaffolding and barricades, and help keep jobsites clean by safely containing and diverting wastewater. Core products include The Blast Bag, Fin Fan Blast Bag, Trough, and Flange Wraps. All products are fabricated in-house, allowing for custom containment devices tailored to specific client needs and applications. National Business Development Manager Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt Reports To: General Manager Job Summary We are seeking an experienced, high-performing National Business Development Manager to drive market growth for our industrial cleaning and turnaround products. In this role, you will be responsible for hunting new business and expanding our containment products footprint within refineries, petrochemical plants, and large-scale manufacturing facilities across the United States. The ideal candidate possesses an extensive network of active contacts in the downstream energy sector and technical understanding of specialized industrial cleaning methodologies. Core Responsibilities Execute Growth Strategy: Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities at petrochemical facilities and refineries nationwide to meet and exceed annual revenue targets. Secure Purchase Agreements: Lead the end-to-end sales cycle to secure vendor status with major energy and chemical corporations. Turnaround & Maintenance: Proactively track and quote on turnaround (TA), outage, and routine maintenance. Relationship Management: Build strong, multi-level relationships with Plant Managers, Turnaround Coordinators, Procurement Directors, and EHS Executives. Bid & Proposal Leadership: Partner with estimating and operations to manage RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, ensuring technical accuracy and competitive pricing solutions. Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, and upcoming facility expansions or maintenance schedules. Required Qualifications & Experience Industry Experience: Minimum of 7–10+ years of direct B2B sales or business development experience in the downstream petrochemical or refining industry. Service Expertise: Proven track record selling industrial products/services such as hydroblasting, chemical cleaning, vacuum services, catalyst handling, or mechanical services . Established Network: A robust, active Rolodex of plant-level and corporate-level procurement contacts, particularly in the Gulf Coast region and other refining hubs across North America. Travel: Ability to travel 40% to 60% local, regional and nationally to visit client sites, plants, and corporate headquarters. Must have valid TWIC and passport (or ability to get passport). Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical field is preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered. Technical & Professional Skills Familiarity with industrial safety standards, including OSHA regulations and plant-specific safety protocols. Strong commercial acumen with experience generating quotes, following quote process flow and change orders (e.g. QuickBooks, Microsoft 365). Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Method) for pipeline tracking and accurate sales forecasting.
