Assignment Details \n
• Start/end: October 23, 2026; ongoing
\n
• Coverage: 24-hour beeper call
\n
• Response time: 30 minutes
\n
• Setting: Inpatient
\n
• Volume: ~10-15 patients/shift
\n
• Call: ~10 phone consults; ~10 patients seen
\n
• Callback: ~20%
\n
• Support: 1 APP + office staff
\n
• EMR: MediTech
\n
• Credentialing: ~30 days; temporary privileges available
\n
• 2026 coverage needs:
- Oct 23 at 7am-Oct 26 at 7am - Oct 29 at 7am-Nov 2 at 7am - Nov 26 at 7am-Nov 30 at 7am - Dec 24 at 7am-Jan 3 at 7am Clinical Details \n
• Bread-and-butter + emergency general surgery
\n
• Bowel resections and perforations
\n
• Appendectomy, cholecystectomy and hernia repair
\n
• Emergency general surgery trauma
\n
• I&D of abscesses and wound care
\n
• Upper and lower GI endoscopy
\n
• Chest tubes and central lines
\n
• Broad general, laparoscopic and vascular surgical coverage
Requirements \n
• Board certified General Surgery
\n
• Active KY license or IMLC
\n
• BLS & ACLS
\n
• Broad general surgery skill set
\n
• Comfortable supervising APP support
Compensation \n
• Rate negotiable, open to your number
