Overview
Position: Sonographer / Ultrasound Tech – Ultrasound Tech specialty
Location: Burlington, Vermont, United States
Start date: 11/02/2026
Duration: 16 weeks
Weekly pay: 2,753 to 2,922 USD per week
Shift: 8-hour day shifts (5x8)
Setting: travel assignment at a hospital-level environment, a large teaching hospital with multiple campus sites
Guaranteed hours: not guaranteed; hours vary by assignment

Responsibilities
- Perform OB/GYN ultrasound examinations, including routine and detailed fetal anatomy scans, follow-up OB, BPP, UMB and MCA Dopplers, 1st-trimester scans, pelvic imaging, sonohysterograms, and HyCoSy as indicated.
- Collaborate with maternal-fetal medicine and OB/GYN teams to provide comprehensive imaging support; document findings clearly and timely.
- Manage patient flow, typically up to eight scans per day; adjust for multiple gestations (twin pregnancies may count as two scans for that session).
- Operate and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment, ensure image quality, and comply with safety and infection control standards.
- Document results in the Epic EMR system within required timeframes; generate accurate reports for referring providers.
- Participate in on-site orientation, ad-hoc coverage, and weekend or holiday coverage as needed.

Requirements
- ARDMS registration with OB/GYN credential
- Prior travel experience required
- Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience, with OB/GYN and maternal-fetal imaging including fetal anatomy, follow-up OB, BPP, UMB and MCA Dopplers, 1st trimester, pelvic imaging, sonohysterogram, and HyCoSy
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)
- BLS certification
- Completion of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program or equivalent
- Ability to work in a fast-paced OB/GYN imaging setting across multiple campus sites
- State licensure as applicable and any additional credential verification as required
