Responsibilities

Draw high-quality blood specimens from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations.

Prepare and process specimens for lab testing according to established procedures.

Maintain clear and accurate records of collections and patient information.

Explain procedures to patients to foster trust and ensure comfort during specimen collection.

Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a professional, clean environment.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors by focusing on process excellence and confidentiality.

Perform specimen collection and processing accurately and efficiently, following established practices.

Ensure timely completion of daily tasks and documentation under supervision.

Provide excellent customer service and a positive patient experience at all times.

Required Skills

Strong phlebotomy skills with the ability to collect specimens from pediatric and elderly patients.

Ability to perform high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency in data entry and maintaining accurate records.

Good communication skills to explain procedures and reassure patients.

Additional Skills & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred, especially in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; over one year preferred.

Customer service experience in retail or service settings is a plus.

Keyboard and data entry experience essential.

Must have own reliable transportation, with a home city commute time within 20-25 minutes.

Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Must be punctual, reliable, and able to stay for entire scheduled shifts, with minimal tardiness or absences.
