Business Systems AnalystThe Sacramento County Department of Technology seeks a Business Systems Analyst to assist the CalSAWS Support Unit and Department of Human Assistance in implementing a new welfare management system: CalSAWS. The conversion is scheduled across 2023, with a go-live planned for 10/30/2023. The project includes system data extraction and conversion, system configuration, enterprise systems changes, testing and implementation support. Multiple ancillary business systems will be impacted by the migration of the primary business service (CalWIN) to the new Statewide solution (CalSAWS). These include Document Imaging, Call center, Appointment Scheduling, Task Management and Fiscal Management solutions. Primary system services such as security and case/provider record management will be revised for migration, requiring systems analysis and preparation for configuration at Go-live. The individual will work closely with business analysts and development teams to identify configuration and support requirements. The individual will also conduct configuration and testing of one or more areas of the migration effort.Skills required include business analysis, basic project management, meeting facilitation and scheduling, eliciting requirements, documenting business processes and creating workflow diagrams, troubleshooting issues, defect tracking, administering and testing applications.The ideal candidate will be able to work with the existing team to contribute in the following areas:System design, planning and configurationFacilitating meetings for projects and support activitiesIdentify and summarize issues to relevant IT and business implementation teamsElicit, develop, organize, document and simplify requirementsDevelop project documentation including technical specifications and user guidesDevelop software test plansConduct quality assurance testing for software and business systemsTrain users on softwareUser assistance and business system administration/ supportJob Skills5+ years of proven IT Business System Analyst experienceMust have excellent oral and written skills and the ability to facilitate meetings, manage agendas and communicate in a professional manner even in high stress situationsRapidly learn how to configure and support new software systems.
