Based in Houston, Texas, Saber Power offers deep subject matter expertise and uses an engineering‑led approach to designing, installing, testing, and maintaining medium and high‑voltage electrical infrastructure. Saber serves clients locally, nationally, and abroad. Position Summary The Concrete Apprentice is an entry‑level position designed to provide hands‑on training in all aspects of concrete work. Under the supervision of a Journeyman or Lead, the apprentice will learn concrete placement, finishing, formwork, and related civil construction tasks to develop the skills needed for a career in the trade. Duties and Responsibilities Assist skilled concrete workers with placement, finishing, and curing of concrete Help build, assemble, and dismantle formwork for slabs, walls, footings, and other structures Learn to measure, mix, and pour concrete according to specifications Operate hand tools, basic power tools, and small equipment under supervision Perform site preparation, cleanup, and material handling Follow all safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) Observe and practice concrete finishing techniques under guidance Attend training sessions or apprenticeship classes as required Perform other job‑related duties as requested by management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) Interest in pursuing a career in concrete and civil construction Ability to perform physical labor in varying weather conditions Willingness to learn and follow directions from supervisors Valid driver’s license (if required by job site) Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn Ability to work as part of a team Attention to detail and safety‑conscious mindset Basic mechanical aptitude or interest in construction trades Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism Safety is a Core Value with our organization.
