Salary Range: $121,935.00 - $156,140.00 annually

Position Overview:

The Assistant Director of Clinical Services will provide nursing care in an acute care environment, adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Nurse Practice Act and relevant regulatory standards. This role involves assisting in the management and oversight of all activities within the patient care setting, performing nursing duties as necessary, and ensuring safety in practice by being aware of one’s own knowledge and experience levels. The Assistant Director will also be responsible for enhancing the knowledge of both themselves and the patient care team through effective communication and the use of available resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process to tailor care plans to meet individual patient needs.
• Supervise and direct the delegation of tasks to appropriate staff members.
• Exercise independent judgment in assigning work and evaluating employee performance.
• Maintain knowledge of the patient population served and adhere to ethical standards as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Report any safety concerns, including hazardous conditions and medical errors.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, laws, and regulations within the MedSurg Unit II.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
• Two to three years of experience in a related specialty is necessary.
• Additional experience may be required based on departmental needs.
• Current New Jersey RN Licensure is mandatory.
• National Certification in the specialty area is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Scheduling Details:

• Night Shift, 40 hours per week
• Monday to Friday, with some weekends and holiday rotations
• Full-Time position
