Accountabilities:
- Take a lead role in monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closes
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Review and record admittance of new investors
- Coordinate quarterly and annual reporting requirements, as well as tax requirements
- Coordinate with cash management group to execute cash transactions (investor subscriptions, investor distributions, invoice payment, quarterly fees)
- Review property management financial statements
- Quarterly financial analysis, including review of investment accounting information
- Calculate, analyze and report performance returns
- Assist in closing the books and records for JLLIPT and the preparation of SEC filings
- Respond to client inquiries
- Create efficiency in and effectiveness of the financial reporting process, including effective usage of technology, as well as improve client services
- Take initiative in identifying problems and providing suggested solutions
- Take the lead on special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of real estate accounting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- CPA designation is strongly preferred
