Portfolio AccountantLaSalle Investment Management is currently seeking a Portfolio Accountant. This individual will serve in a supporting role to help manage a significant portion of the accounting and reporting process for several estate investment portfolios reporting under Fair Value GAAP. This individual will report to the Portfolio Controller.Accountabilities:Assist in the quarterly, and annual accounting closesPost journal entries and complete bank reconciliationsComplete quarterly financial analysis and review quarterly financial statements provided by co-investment managersPrepare financial statements and related footnotesIdentify and lead AI-driven process improvement projects across the accounting and reporting cycle, including automating recurring tasks and building efficiencies in financial statement preparationPrepare third party consultant reportsAccurately calculate, interpret, and communicate financial performance returnsAccurately complete cash management transactions and cash trackingAssist with quarterly and annual reporting requirements, as well as year-end audit and tax requirementsCreate efficiency in and effectiveness of the financial reporting process as well as improve client servicesTake initiative in identifying problems and providing suggested solutionsAssist with various special projects as assignedRequired Qualifications & Experience:Minimum of 1-3 years of accounting experienceBachelor's Degree in AccountingCPA designation is preferred. Candidate will be expected to achieve CPA in order to qualify for future progressionExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to think creatively and independently develop solutions to problemsEffectiveness in reviewing own work to achieve high levels of accuracyExtremely organized multi-taskerTeam player who works well both independently and in a team environmentStrong knowledge of technical accounting conceptsStrongly proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, and working knowledge of AI tools (either in a work or home context) with a demonstrated interest in applying them in a professional contextOpenness to continuous learning in a rapidly evolving technology environment; willingness to evaluate, pilot and champion new AI tools as part of the team's ongoing process improvement agendaUS Jobs Only: This position does not provide visa sponsorship.
