Milieu Specialist - Per Diem

Metropolitan Behavioral Health Hospital, a UHS facility, is seeking a per diem Milieu Specialist. The hospital offers a full continuum of inpatient services for adolescents, adults, and older adults, including behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. It also provides robust outpatient programs with group, family, and individual therapy.

Position Summary: The Milieu Specialist provides therapeutic milieu management, training of MHTs, and monitoring of hospital units. Milieu management includes program content and philosophy, patient management training, environmental management, and staff competency.

Qualifications:

• Associates or bachelor's degree in psychology or similar social sciences from an accredited college or university
• Five years of professional experience in a mental health hospital setting
• Experience as a Lead MHT
• Current certification as a Non-Violent Crisis Intervention instructor or obtained within 5 months of being in the role
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Current certification in BLS/CPR

Work Hours: This is a per diem position for rotating shifts. Must be available to work rotating weekends and holidays.
