Lead Milieu Specialist

Responsibilities Lead Milieu Specialist ensures patient safety, assists CNO with planning and oversight of MHT patient care, facilitates continuous and safe patient care, observation, interaction and role modeling. Responsible for primary training, preceptorship, and mentorship of MHTs throughout the facility. Serves adults (18‑64), older adults (65+), and adolescents (12‑17). Position Summary Full‑time position at Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital, a 144‑bed behavioral health facility offering inpatient and outpatient services, including specialty programs for adolescents, adults, and older adults. The Lead Milieu Specialist works 24‑hour inpatient rounds and supports co‑occurring behavioral health and substance use programs. Experience: Five years in risk management, Mental Health Tech, Milieu Specialist, or other clinical position in a psychiatric treatment setting. Additional Requirements: Knowledge of Joint Commission, Michigan Mental Health Code, CMS standards, and applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities.
