Cost Accounting Manager

Manager Of Cost AccountingInsight Global is seeking a Manager of Cost Accounting for an international gaming manufacturing client in Reno, NV. This position is a key member of the Reno Accounting team and is being hired as part of a planned retirement transition, creating a high-priority need for the organization. The Manager of Cost Accounting will oversee product costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and standard costing processes while leading a small team of 1-2 direct reports.This individual will partner closely with FP&A, General Ledger, Consolidations, Operations, and Engineering teams to provide financial insight that drives business decisions across a complex manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing cost accounting expertise, experience working within large ERP environments, and the ability to communicate effectively across a large organization. Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Lead month-end and year-end cost accounting close activitiesManage standard costing processes and maintain costing accuracy across manufacturing operationsAnalyze cost variances and provide recommendations that drive business performancePartner closely with FP&A, General Ledger, and Consolidation teams based in RenoCollaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to improve costing accuracy and support business initiativesEnsure accurate inventory valuation for raw materials, WIP, and finished goodsManage cycle counts and annual inventory processes while maintaining strong internal controlsSupport budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning effortsLead and mentor a team of 1-2 direct reportsDrive process improvements across costing, reporting, and financial controlsDevelop reporting and analysis packages for finance and operational leadership
