About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Litigation and Insurance to serve as the senior legal executive with a focus on enterprise leadership in litigation, claims, captive insurance, and commercial insurance programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading the company's enterprise litigation strategy, providing executive oversight of significant legal matters, and advising on claims and insurance issues. This role requires a strategic leader who can align legal, clinical, operational, and financial stakeholders to effectively mitigate and resolve risks. The Vice President will also oversee the professional liability and claims function, lead the captive insurance company, and partner with finance on commercial insurance strategy. Candidates for the Vice President of Litigation and Insurance position at the company should have a strong background in legal and insurance management, with a focus on healthcare and commercial litigation. The role demands a leader with the ability to establish and govern enterprise strategy, ensure executive oversight of high-impact matters, and lead a high-performing team. Essential responsibilities include serving as a trusted advisor to the General Counsel and executive leadership, presenting to the Board on legal and insurance matters, and providing financial and operational accountability for the function. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in executive leadership, governance, and reporting, and will be adept at translating complex legal and insurance issues into actionable business recommendations.
