Cnc machinist

We are supporting a U.S. manufacturing leader, who prides themselves on high automation machinery, cutting edge technology, and a deep commitment to environmentally sustainable practices. salary: $50,000 - $80,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Proven experience as a CNC lathe and Milling machinist with proficiency in setting up milling machines and lathes.
• Familiarity with CNC operations setup and operations is mandatory.
• Experience operating a Haas UMC-500SS (or similar high-speed 5-axis machining center) is required. Candidates should have experience with simultaneous 5-axis machining; experience with automated systems such as robotic loading systems and pallet pools is highly desirable.
• Experience with CAM programming (Mastercam) is a plus.
• strong understanding of precision measuring instruments including bore gauges and micrometer.
• Knowledge of tooling techniques and materials used in machining processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
• strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Job Knowledge - Competent in required job skills and knowledge; exhibits ability to learn and apply new skills; keeps abreast of current developments; requires minimal supervision; displays understanding of how job relates to others; uses resources effectively.
• Use of Technology - Demonstrates required skills; adapts to new technologies; troubleshoots technological problems; uses technology to increase productivity; keeps technical skills up to date.
