Position Overview
We are actively searching for a dedicated and skilled Sonography / Ultrasound Imaging Specialist to join our expanding imaging team. In this pivotal role, you will utilize cutting-edge ultrasound equipment to conduct diagnostic procedures, working in tandem with a team of caring clinicians to deliver timely and precise imaging results that bring peace of mind to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive array of ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging.
- Prioritize patient comfort and safety, clearly explaining each aspect of the process with dignity and respect.
- Work collaboratively with radiologists and overseeing physicians to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging standards.
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring functionality at all times.
- Accurately document all procedures and maintain up-to-date patient records in electronic medical systems.
- Stay informed about advancements in sonography techniques and contribute to continuous improvement practices.
Education and Credentials
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline.
- Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program.
Certifications
- Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent certification.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is highly recommended.
