Job Title: Floating Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Duration: Contract Shift: Various Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of PCU experience required License: Active Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must be helpful and engaged on the unit with patients and staff. Degree accreditation must be on the profile or 5 years of experience required. Description: Floating required, including to other campuses, PCU units, and emergency department hold. 46-bed unit with a patient ratio of 5 to 6:1. Utilizes Epic EMR for electronic documentation. Travelers are welcomed into the units and are expected to function as core staff. Culture is very important here, and the ability to engage with patients and staff is essential. All time off requests must be submitted prior to the recruitment process. Demographic information must be loaded in the profile at the time of submission. Hard document deadline is the Monday prior to the start date, with no exceptions for pending documents.
