Job Summary

MD Office Manager is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Billing Assistant to support daily medical billing and revenue cycle operations. The ideal candidate will assist with insurance claims, payment posting, patient billing inquiries, and follow-up on outstanding balances while maintaining accurate records and protecting confidential patient information.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing, submitting, and tracking medical insurance claims.
• Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Review billing information for accuracy and completeness.
• Follow up on denied, rejected, and unpaid insurance claims.
• Post insurance payments and patient payments accurately.
• Assist with patient billing inquiries and outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate billing records and update patient accounts.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Perform other administrative and billing-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous medical billing, healthcare administration, or medical office experience preferred.
• Familiarity with medical billing procedures, insurance claims, and payment posting is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer-based systems.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn new medical billing software and office procedures.

Work Schedule

• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• On-site position in Clarksville, Indiana.
• W-2 employment.
