Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time opportunity offers 37.5 hours per week supporting students in a school environment near Chesnee, SC. As a vital part of a collaborative education team, you’ll bring your expertise and dedication to a dynamic middle school setting.

Qualifications:

• Valid South Carolina Special Education Teacher certification is required.
• Experience or strong interest in resource classroom instruction at the middle school level.
• Ability to build rapport with students, parents, and staff.
• Thorough knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and specialized support to students with diverse learning needs within a resource classroom.
• Develop, modify, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on each student’s strengths and challenges.
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure student success.
• Utilize data-driven methods to monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and district requirements.
• Partner with colleagues to create an engaging, positive, and safe educational experience.
