Controller

I'm hiring for my client, a fast-growing, private equity-backed organization seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting function during an exciting period of growth and transformation.

This is a highly visible leadership role overseeing the entire accounting department, partnering closely with executive leadership, and driving process improvements across a multi-entity organization.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead all accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, month-end close, and financial reporting
• Oversee a team of accounting professionals and foster a high-performance culture
• Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain strong internal controls
• Lead annual audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors
• Manage lease accounting (ASC 842)
• Support M&A activity, integrations, and strategic growth initiatives
• Drive ERP, system, and process improvement projects
• Partner with leadership to improve reporting, scalability, and operational effectiveness

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior Controller experience with oversight of a full accounting department
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background
• ASC 842 lease accounting expertise
• Experience leading external audits
• Multi-entity experience required
• Proven leadership and team development skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• CPA strongly preferred; MBA is a plus
