Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ emotional and psychological needs, utilizing standardized tools and clinical judgment.

• Creating individualized therapy plans based on assessment findings and client goals, adapting interventions as necessary to promote optimal therapeutic outcomes.

• Utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing to guide clients in their therapeutic journey.

• Monitoring and documenting client progress through regular check-ins and therapeutic reviews while ensuring compliance with ethical practices and state regulations.

• Employing culturally responsive strategies to engage clients from diverse backgrounds, addressing specific issues they may face in the context of their culture and community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your clients will include individuals from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, many of whom face stigma and barriers to mental health care. You'll engage with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. Your role will not only focus on their immediate issues but also empower them with coping mechanisms for long-term well-being.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.

• An active California state license as LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC.

• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, preferably with diverse client populations.

• A strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic practices, including familiarity with DSM-5 diagnoses.

Preferred Experience\n

While the minimum qualifications are essential, candidates with additional certifications, such as trauma-informed care or specific evidence-based practices, will be highly regarded. Experience working with community health organizations or in telehealth settings will also be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n
