Software Development Engineer, Annapurna Labs - Cupertino

Salary: $165,200 - 223,600 per year Requirements:

• We require at least 2 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• We require a bachelors degree in computer science or an equivalent background.
• We look for a foundation in systems programming with C or C++ in performance-critical production environments.
• We prefer experience with Linux and networking protocols, or Linux OS and network troubleshooting.
• We also value experience with network protocols such as DNS, DHCP, and TCP, along with strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and clear communication.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as hypervisors, VMware, or Xen is preferred, as is experience managing and troubleshooting networks.
• We value prior work with software teams to define hardware and software interfaces, including control/status registers and error handling.

• We design and develop features across the AWS Networking software stack on Nitro Cards.
• We dig into ENA Express, the SRD protocol, and L3/L4 networking to improve packet delivery, reduce tail latency, and raise bandwidth utilization.
• We collaborate with hardware and firmware partners to define software and hardware interfaces and expose programmable capabilities to the software layer.
• We partner with EC2 platform and service teams to integrate ENA Express capabilities into the wider AWS networking ecosystem.
• We drive operational excellence by building observability, contributing to on-call health, and leading incident response and post-mortems.
