Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through recognized assessment protocols and observation.
• Create customized treatment plans aimed toward fulfilling both immediate objectives and enduring needs regarding communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Administer individualized speech therapy focusing on aspects like language acquisition, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing rehabilitation.
• Engage collaboratively with physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to foster comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families to enhance support and progress beyond clinical encounters.
• Occasionally provide evaluations and therapy for inpatients, ensuring seamless care throughout the treatment process.
• Maintain precise and timely patient documentation that adheres to state laws, federal regulations, and organizational standards.
• Pursue ongoing education and professional collaboration to stay informed about the latest industry advancements.

Education

• Earned a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if ASHA certification has not yet been achieved.

Certifications

• Hold a state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Possession of a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary to obtain within 30 days of hire.
