This is a 585+ bed hospital. Our hospital offers an array of medical and health clinic services. This includes women's services offering obstetrics and fertility, an emergency room, and a trauma center. We offer a Stroke Center, a walk-in clinic, and orthopedics across three Kansas City locations. Our specialty care areas include a Chest Pain Center, Level I Trauma Center, Breast Care Center, Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Programs, and Primary Stroke Center. We are one of 10 HCA Midwest Health hospitals in Kansas City and surrounding areas.

Job Summary and Qualifications The Medical Telemetry Manager ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department. The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Helps create a superior clinical identity by operationalizing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes. Ensures adherence to standards of care.
• Supports efforts to reduce variation in clinical practice and improve efficiency, effectiveness, and cost. Ensures a culture of accountability and transparency in the provision of care.
• Supports the achievement of internal/external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations.
• Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Provides leadership in attaining and sustaining unparalleled patient experience. Instills accountability for providing consistent, positive patient interactions that differentiate the organization as a healthcare leader.
• Reviews various feedback mechanisms and helps identify opportunities to improve customer/patient satisfaction. Supports the development and implementation of strategies to elevate the patient's experience.

• Manages staff scheduling. Maintains staffing in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
• Manages operating expenses, including the utilization of supplies and equipment. Identifies cost reduction opportunities and implements actions to achieve savings.

Qualifications:

• Would need to have a minimum of 2 years of recent (within the last year) acute care leadership experience with 5+ years of total RN experience. Would accept CNC, House Supervisor, or Charge Nurse experience. Candidates do not need to have Medical Telemetry experience. Other unit experience is fine as long as the candidate has recent leadership experience within acute care.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained by date of hire
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.

• How many FTEs? They will be over the monitor techs, Charge nurses, RN, LPNs and PCTs.
• What additional departments are they over? No additional departments. Our tele is a PCU combo. Not your traditional Tele. High acuity. Combo step down unit

Salary Range: $91,624 $128,294 (Due to internal equity the position will not reach the max; Years of experience are calculated by RN management YOE, not Staff Level RN experience.
