Description
- Conduct thorough evaluations for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings and create customized treatment plans
- Execute hands-on physical therapy interventions emphasizing mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
- Work alongside nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation experts to ensure optimal patient care
- Inform patients and families about therapeutic goals, discharge processes, and home-based exercises
- Justify all evaluations, treatments, and progression in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Engage in multidisciplinary care rounds to provide integrated patient care
Education
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a comparable degree from a recognized program
Certifications
- State licensure as a Physical Therapist
- CPR certification is preferred
- Specialty certifications (e.g., neurological, orthopedics) are advantageous but not mandatory
Skills
- Prior experience is highly desirable
- Capable of managing complex patient cases with medical and mobility challenges
