Dental Assistant

Dental Assistant Our specialized periodontal practice is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic full-time Dental Assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone who is eager to grow with our practice and provide exceptional patient care. While experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and genuine interest in the dental field. Responsibilities Assist the periodontist during various dental procedures, including scaling, root planing, and surgical treatments Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and arranging necessary equipment and materials Take digital x-rays according to established protocols and safety standards Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and treatment documentation Provide chairside assistance and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures Manage infection control procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment Prepare and break down operatories between patient appointments Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment procedures and post-operative care instructions Schedule patient appointments and coordinate treatment plans Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment Assist with administrative duties as needed Adhere to all OSHA and HIPAA regulations Requirements Minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience required Computer experience required X-Ray Certification preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality Ability to work Monday through Wednesday and Friday Availability to work 20-32 hours per week Proficiency in dental terminology and procedures Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude Benefits We offer an excellent benefits package including 401(k), dental insurance, employee discount, health insurance, on-the-job training, opportunities for advancement, paid time off, and vision insurance.
