Scheduling every other weekend day shift 6:30 AM to 1500 PM. Training schedule day shift 6:30 AM to 15:00 Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday

Job Description:

Vitalant is seeking a Laboratory Technician dedicated to making a positive difference. Your impact as a Laboratory Technician is vital. Support Vitalants life-saving mission by operating within the laboratory handling responsibilities that include component production labeling record reviewing and data entry.

What to Expect

Job Grade: 114
Hourly Pay: 18.27 - 18.67 DOE

Schedule: M-F 6:30 am - 3:00 pm - Every other Weekend required

Training Schedule: Day shift 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday

As a Laboratory Technician youll get to

• Maintain accurate data records and documentation.
• Prepare blood components through processes such as centrifugation separation freezing thawing washing storage sterile docking transformation and filtration.
• Ensure product quality volume appearance and time requirements.
• Conduct labeling for routine and special components and implement quarantine procedures.
• High School or GED required
• No Experience Required

• High School graduate or GED required.

EXPERIENCE

SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be detail oriented and possess strong communication organization and analytical skills.
• Must be able to maintain donor patient and employee confidentiality.
• Must possess basic keyboarding skills and the ability to handle and operate laboratory equipment.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts and overtime when necessary.
