About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years in Critical Care preferred, will consider strong candidates with less than 3 years. License: Virginia or Compact License required at time of submission. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Strong neuro experience (post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke), Vents, IV drip titration, Telemetry monitoring, Conscious Sedation, Dysrhythmia, and emergency management. Description: Beautiful coastal area offers trails for all levels of hikers and over 20 waterways to explore. Strong neuro experience is essential. Must be willing to float to Stepdown Unit and may also float to care for patients being held in other units. Patient populations include neursurgical and post-stroke, respiratory failure, renal failure, post-surgical, trauma, sepsis, and heart failure. Skills required include arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, and procedural sedation administration. Traveler must be proficient in the electronic medical record system. Candidates will not be accepted if residing within a certain radius. Candidates with any license or background issues will be disqualified. Fit test requirements must be met. EKG testing is required for ICU staffing, and a passing score is necessary for continued employment.
