Customer Experience Associate

Job Overview The Customer Experience Associate (CEA) at Weis Markets is responsible for front-end sales, customer service, and maintaining store cleanliness. Responsibilities Smiles and greets customers, answers questions, and resolves concerns promptly. Follows company policies for checkout to increase customer satisfaction. Operates scanning equipment and cash register, performs all checkout procedures, including bagging and placing merchandise in customer’s cart. Maintains transaction accuracy and ensures proper collection of all funds. Enforces proper security measures and maintains cash drawer accounting, avoiding overages or shortages. Observes all store and legal guidelines for sale of tobacco and alcohol. Stays informed on weekly ads, promotions, and store layout to answer customer inquiries. Maintains general sanitation in the department and follows cleaning schedules and guidelines. Disposes of trash properly and ensures a clean, safe environment meeting health and OSHA requirements. Cooperates with co-workers and supervisors to ensure smooth department and store operations. Continually improves job performance and utilizes all company-provided PPE such as cut-resistant gloves, safety cutters, and company-sponsored footwear. May assist in other departments as needed. Supervisory Responsibilities None. This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (completed or in progress). No prior experience required.
