Welding Lead

Location: 20805 Eaton Ave, Farmington, MN 55024‑7932. Shift: Weekend, Friday to Sunday 5:00am–5:00pm. Starting pay: $29.68 per hour. Essential Functions Supervise the daily work of all production personnel. Lead work teams, motivate, and give corrective action as needed. Train or arrange training for shift personnel to ensure consistent methods and results. Model and enforce safety policies and seek safety improvements. Manage equipment and materials to meet schedule and quality objectives. Anticipate product flow proactively, maintaining urgency to meet daily demands. Maintain a clean, orderly production environment and prepare for the next shift. Communicate daily with all levels of employees about safety, quality, production metrics, and training activities. Communicate regularly with direct reports on achievements and required improvements. Maintain an efficient rate of production and ensure product is input into the system efficiently. Track shop orders through production and expedite orders as needed. Maintain a positive and engaged work environment. Communicate effectively between shifts, personnel, and leadership. Wear required personal protective equipment and work in non‑temperature‑controlled environments and outdoors. Perform other duties as required and/or assigned. Qualifications High School diploma or GED. 2–4 years of leadership experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting. Knowledge of a variety of machines and fabrication; strong mechanical aptitude. Ability to read micrometers, flatness and radius gauges, and tape measures. Overhead crane and/or forklift experience. Valid driver's license with a safe driving record. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to meet production, safety, and quality standards in a high‑paced environment. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (most frequent lifts up to 20 pounds). Ability to be trained and certified to operate forklift. Wear required PPE and follow safety regulations. Highly qualified candidates also possess: 3+ years leadership experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Six Sigma certification or training. Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Positive attitude, safety awareness, and integrity.
