Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | Weekend requirement: 3 out of every 6 weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Room environment with an average daily census of approximately 105 patients
• Manage patient flow across a department with 20 rooms and 26 beds, supporting approximately 135 visits per day
• Float to the Observation Unit to cover ER hold patients as needed
• Adhere to scheduled shifts and holiday commitments, including working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Maintain a valid California RN state license throughout the duration of the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active, valid California RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted
• Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced Emergency Room setting
• Comfort with floating to observation or hold units
• Prior travel nursing experience is a plus; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
