CADD Technician

TRC Talent Solutions is seeking a CAD Drafter to support civil and municipal engineering projects for a client in the Greater Atlanta area. This role reports to the Senior Program Director and focuses on producing detailed engineering drawings and supporting design documentation for infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to create 3D civil design models for roadways, airports, and site development projects

• Prepare and review project documentation including drawings, sketches, renderings, maps, and technical memoranda

• Produce detailed infrastructure drawings (roadways, buildings, water lines, sewers, drainage systems)

• Ensure all drawings meet project scope, client specifications, and engineering standards

• Develop plans, profiles, sections, elevations, and other technical drawing sets

• Create renderings, isometric drawings, and graphical representations for reports

• Maintain CAD standards and support drafting process improvements

• Coordinate with clients, engineers, and project teams as needed

• Support site inspections and field-related assignments when required

• Manage multiple assignments while meeting strict project deadlines

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or related drafting discipline

• 2+ years of AutoCAD drafting experience required

• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred

• Strong understanding of engineering drafting principles and CAD systems

• Ability to develop complex drawings from sketches or verbal direction

• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines

• Familiarity with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Access

• CAD certification preferred

• Knowledge of GIS is a plus

• Strong communication skills for collaboration with clients and project teams
